Post Malone, Morgan Wallen, and Hardy Honor Joe Diffie at the CMA Awards

 A Night of Unforgettable Tributes

A moving remembrance of the late country music legend Joe Diffie was presented during the 37th annual CMA Awards, including an unexpected lineup that included Post Malone, Morgan Wallen, and Hardy. Their joint performance, a moving tribute, touched the audience's heart and honored the esteemed vocalist.

Wallen and Hardy got the celebration going with a spirited performance of Diffie's 1993 hit song, "John Deere Green." Post Malone then onto the stage with the group, joining them for a memorable performance of Diffie's 1994 smash song "Pickup Man." This powerful trio enthralled the audience.

Given his close ties to pop and hip-hop, some might be surprised to learn that Post Malone is involved in the country music scene. He has, however, shown his affection for the genre by covering a number of songs, including Hank Williams' "There's a Tear in My Beer," Brad Paisley's "I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)," and Sturgill Simpson's "You Can Have the Crown." Notably, his 2022 live rendition of Johnny Cash's "Cocaine Blues" with Billy Strings demonstrated his sincere love of various musical styles.

Hardy, who is well-known for his 2023 country album "The Mockingbird and the Crow," which features Wallen, won early prizes at the CMAs for his collaboration with Lainey Wilson on the song "Wait in the Truck." Wilson was the most nominated artist at the event, therefore the evening proved to be her victory as she won Entertainer of the Year.

There were several partnerships that struck a deep chord with the audience during the 37th CMA Awards, which were presented by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.
